ECO Brass is the premier solution that meets the needs of today’s demanding environments. Originally developed in Japan for their harsh water conditions, ECO Brass has been in service for over 25 years and has a record of reliability and a proven track record of success.

Typically, over the years, brass alloys contained a higher amount of lead, which helped in the machining process. With the recent adoption of the Safe Water Drinking Act (SWDA), the Federal government enacted legislation limiting the amount of lead in base metal to .25%. ECO Brass has a lead content of only .09%, which the EPA considers lead-free, and is well below the SWDA standards.

ECO Brass goes beyond the solution to the SWDA. ECO Brass was engineered to have the highest stress corrosion resistance and de-zincification characteristics available in this type of alloy. Not only in potable applications, ECO Brass is finding a home in many different applications, from fire protection to automotive, due to its superior characteristics.

Tribal has been manufacturing parts from ECO Brass since 2006, and knows how to do it right. Tribal was one of the first North American plants to machine parts from ECO in mass production runs, and we have the experience and knowhow to machine them perfectly every time.

Tribal is a proud to partner with Chase Brass and Copper, who has the exclusive rights to produce this raw material for us. Tribal is one of the largest machinists of ECO brass in the world.
